Partner Channel Business Development Manager
Software, Technology & Document Imaging Partnerships
Columbus, OH | Full-Time | National Territory | $75,000–$95,000 annually, depending on experience
TierFive is seeking a Partner Channel Business Development Manager to expand our network of software, technology, consulting, systems-integration, reseller, and service-provider partners throughout the United States. TierFive already works with industry partners that use our secure document scanning, microfilm, microfiche, large-format scanning, OCR, indexing, and document-conversion capabilities to supplement their own solutions.
Your job is to go find more.
This is a greenfield business-development role focused on identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and developing organizations that already serve records-intensive businesses or government agencies and can benefit from adding TierFive's capabilities to their own offering. Although based in Columbus, Ohio, this is a national role—not a regional sales territory.
About TierFive
TierFive provides secure document scanning and information-conversion services throughout the United States, including high-volume paper scanning, microfilm and microfiche conversion, large-format drawings and plans, OCR, metadata capture, indexing, quality control, records reconciliation, secure chain of custody, and electronic delivery.
Our partner model allows software developers, VARs, systems integrators, consultants, MSPs, GovTech providers, service bureaus, AI solution providers, and other organizations to add these capabilities without building, staffing, securing, and operating their own document-conversion center. Partners can engage TierFive as a named strategic partner or use us as a white-label production resource while maintaining their own client relationship and branding.
What Makes TierFive Different
TierFive is more than a local scanning company or overflow service bureau. Partners gain access to approximately 20 years of document-imaging and information-management experience, secure Imaging Conversion Center operations, documented chain-of-custody procedures, national project support, professional project management, and specialized production capabilities for paper, microfilm, microfiche, aperture cards, drawings, plans, maps, and other legacy media.
Our credentials include SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, along with operating practices designed to support requirements involving HIPAA, CJIS, FISMA, FERPA, HITECH, PCI DSS, FINRA, GDPR, FADGI, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, CLETS, and other regulated records environments. Our broader professional capabilities include personnel with industry credentials such as CDIA+, ECMp, and CaptureP.
When a partner brings TierFive into an opportunity, they are putting their own reputation and client relationship behind us and we take that responsibility very seriously. Our combination of security, quality, specialized capabilities, production capacity, and partner-focused service is designed to make that an easy decision.
Learn What You’ll Be Taking to Market
Applicants are encouraged to learn more about the TierFive capabilities they will be introducing to prospective partners nationwide:
The better you understand where TierFive solves problems that a software developer, integrator, reseller, MSP, consultant, AI provider, or service provider cannot efficiently solve itself, the better you will be at identifying valuable new partner relationships.
Why This Opportunity Exists
Software platforms manage digital information. Their customers often still have filing rooms, boxes of paper, microfilm, microfiche, drawings, and decades of legacy records. The software may be digital. The customer's archive of information is not.
Physical Records → Secure Digitization → Indexed Digital Content → Business Application
When a technology provider cannot address the physical-record portion of a project, the customer must find another provider. That can complicate the implementation, weaken control of the client relationship, and create an opening for a competing solution provider that already has document conversion incorporated into its offering. TierFive closes that gap.
The Dark Data & AI Opportunity
A growing opportunity involves dark data the massive collection valuable historical information organizations already possess but cannot effectively search, analyze, or use in their modern systems because it remains trapped in paper files, microfilm, and other legacy formats.
TierFive has recently been approached by organizations seeking to digitize historical backfiles so previously inaccessible information can be used within their own AI, LLM, CRM, analytics, knowledge-management, and business-intelligence environments. These records are critical for them as they contain former customers, dormant accounts, previously quoted opportunities, historical transactions, contracts, correspondence, project records, or institutional knowledge that has been effectively invisible for years.
Physical Archive → Searchable Data → AI / Analytics / CRM → New Business Value
This creates additional partner opportunities with AI consultants, Microsoft Copilot specialists, CRM providers, analytics companies, digital-transformation firms, knowledge-management providers, and other organizations helping customers unlock their historical information.

This Is a Hunter Role
This position is for someone who enjoys finding opportunities that are not already sitting in the CRM. TierFive already has established industry relationships and a proven partner model. We want someone who can look at a software company's directory containing hundreds of resellers, integrators, consultants, and solution providers and ask:
“Which of these companies should already be working with TierFive?”
Then go find them. This is not simply an appointment-setting position. The objective is to build long-term B2B channel relationships across the United States that generate recurring opportunities.
The Partner Value Proposition
A software or technology company does not need to purchase production scanners, operate a secure imaging center, hire document-preparation employees, buy specialized microfilm equipment, or build its own quality-control and conversion operation.
It needs the right partner.
TierFive provides the infrastructure, specialized equipment, trained personnel, project management, security controls, quality assurance, and document-conversion expertise while the partner maintains its customer relationship.
Instead of saying, “We provide the software, but you'll need to find another company to scan your records,” a TierFive partner can provide a coordinated path from physical records to the digital solution being implemented.
What We’re Looking For
Successful candidates should have experience in business development, channel sales, partner development, inside sales, solution sales, technology sales, or B2B relationship development. You should be comfortable researching unfamiliar industries, identifying decision-makers, opening new relationships, communicating a business value proposition, maintaining disciplined follow-up, and managing multiple developing opportunities simultaneously.
Experience with ECM, DMS, Microsoft solutions, ERP, GovTech, AI, document imaging, VARs, systems integrators, MSPs, software resellers, office-technology dealers, records-management companies, or document-service providers is valuable but not required.
What matters most is your ability to research the market, identify the right companies, open doors, build relationships, and generate business.
What Success Looks Like
Qualified Prospect → Conversation → Partner → Opportunity → Revenue → Repeat Business
TierFive already works with companies throughout the document-management and information-management marketplace. There are substantially more companies across the United States that should be working with us.
Your job is to find them.

TierFive offers flexible scheduling options based on business needs, healthcare benefits for eligible employees, 401(k) retirement benefits for eligible employees, training on our document-imaging capabilities and project-scoping processes, and occasional company activities including potlucks, pizza lunches, ice cream tastings, and other team events.
